“There are two things children should get from their parents: roots and wings.”
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Hanna Bobnieva — family mediator, psychotherapist, and supervisor.
My journey into mediation began back in law school, when I realized I wanted to work with people, not just paperwork. At my first job, I lasted only two weeks — buried under piles of contracts, I couldn’t even see the sunlight through the window. I was 21, quit that boring office job, and started teaching law at a university. Nearly 15 years later, now with a psychology degree, psychotherapy practice, and two kids, I knew I wouldn’t be returning to university after maternity leave. That decision led me to mediation — something new, unfamiliar, but deeply intriguing. The year 2018 marked the beginning of my path as a mediator…
Today, I am:
- A practicing psychotherapist with specializations in family therapy, parent-child relationship, and trauma work.
- A practicing family mediator, accredited to work with children in mediation, with extensive experience in cases involving teenagers.
- A supervisor providing both individual and group supervision.
I love what I do. And I love how I do it. To me, that’s the most important sign I’m where I’m meant to be: doing what you enjoy, with people you enjoy, in a way that brings you joy.
